Sherry Barron
Sherry's creative nature has enabled her to share her love for Christ through a variety of artistic genres. Her mission-mindedness has taken her across the globe, integrating the arts as she shares the gospel of Christ. As a Nation Board Certified Elementary Music Educator, Sherry has received many teaching awards which have opened up opportunities to impact, equip and minister to adults. Consultant and presenter, she holds leadership positions in numerous music related organizations. She presents at various workshops, conferences and retreats and also maintains a private piano studio. As a prayer warrior, Sherry depends on God's faithfulness and the power of prayer. In August 2011, she took a huge leap of faith and began her own Creative Arts Academy. Originating multi-faceted visual and performing arts that lead others closer to the heart of God is Sherry's passion! Her creations include original Praise & Worship music, musical drama-Living Stones, The Dance, monologue - The Garden of My Heart, and workshop-Creativity & Beyond! She also serves on the Worship team and the adult choir program at her church. She loves to mentor and develop relationships as she delightfully uses her spiritual gift of hospitality! God continues to allow her to present spiritual truths through her creative gifts of music, art, drama, and Biblical teaching.
Kathy Drake
Kathy's passion is to lead others into a deeper relationship with Jesus, teaching them to understand the heart of a true worshiper. She and her husband Ken served on staff as the Worship Arts Directors at The Chapel in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for 31 years. Kathy has written and directed numerous Bible studies including Living Water and Come Unto Me. She also teaches a 12 week study entitled The Heart of Worship - A Biblical Perspective with her husband. Her retreats include: Come Away My Beloved - A Prayer Journey, Living Water, Restore - A Masterpiece, and The Gift of Abiding in Christ. After receiving her Masters Degree in Music from Louisiana State University, Kathy studied and performed in Europe and the United States in Musical Theater and Opera. She has directed adult and children's choirs throughout her career and enjoys singing for special events and leading in worship. She has been active in facilitating workshops to reclaim the arts for the Lord within the church and in worship. Kathy also maintains a private voice studio and enjoys writing, making pottery, and exploring her creative gifts. Her great delight is being Ken's wife and the mother of two grown daughters, a son and law and grandmother of one precious little girl. Through her ministry, Kathy desires to help others discover the deep joy of being a beloved child of God while challenging them to pursue a life of resting in Christ.
